Building Women of Faith

The purpose of Women’s Ministry at BBF is to encourage women into a deeper relationship with God, one another and our community.  Our desire is to be women who are fully dependent on the Lord and His Word.  We, therefore, provide various opportunities for growth in these areas through Small Groups, Bible Reading Groups, Retreats and Events.

We hold tightly to the truths of Titus 2:11-14 and use these truths to guide us in serving the women of our church and beyond.

Various Small Groups are provided throughout the week to help connect women to the Word and to one another.

Bible Reading Groups are small, intimate groups made up of 2 to 5 women who will meet once a week, throughout an entire year, to discuss what God is teaching them from His Word.  The groups will all be following the same reading plan for the year and will be learning how to journal, once a week, in response to His story. Our desire is to help women see the complete story of God while learning to apply it to their lives and growing in our love for Him.  These groups will encourage accountability, vulnerability, and intentionality and will be an opportunity to connect deeply with others surrounding God’s Word.  Groups currently begin each January, with sign-ups beginning each Fall.

2024 Reading Plan

Each year in the Fall, the Women at BBF get away for a weekend in order to dive deeper into the Word of God, learn more about what He has for us as women, and develop deeper bonds with like-minded women who we can walk this journey with. We retreat at a location where His creation is magnified and our distractions are minimized so that we can be refreshed, encouraged and strengthened through Him.

Events are typically planned once a quarter as a way for women to get together for pure fellowship and bonding. Connecting with other women is important in our individual walks with the Lord so that we can “spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:24-25). These events vary from more formal events such as teas and favorite things parties, to informal activities like game nights and craft events. Upcoming events are listed in the weekly bulletins which are handed out at each service. Contact us to be added to the weekly email updates.
