Friends,
I wanted to send a quick communication regarding a few inquiries we’ve
received in light of this current season of sickness and what we’re doing
to try and keep things clean. Many of you may not be aware, but each week
we have a cleaning team that tackles the custodial duties of BBF. We also
have, as part of our regular rhythm of cleaning, extra details covered in
the nursery. Nate, as the overseer of our children’s ministry, is working
on ramping up some of our classroom cleaning procedures, and Bob, as our
elder over grounds and maintenance, is taking steps to go above and beyond
in some deeper cleaning practices overall. All that said, efforts are
being taken that simply tend to be better routine steps in all seasons of
heightened illness.
A few reminders that are always good to keep in mind for us as a church
family:
1. If you are sick, stay home. Do everyone a favor and keep your germs to
yourself. We record the sermons, so if you’re worried about missing one,
you can listen to it online.
2. Remember the advice of your mother and be sure to was your hands with
soap, often.
3. Finally, lets not forget that God has given us a spirit, not of
timidity, but of power, love, and self control (2 Timothy 1:7). It’s times
like these that we ought not walk in fear. We serve a sovereign God who is
still on the throne and holds eternity in His hands. We want to be wise
but not scared, and it’s because of this that in times like these, the
church shines. Walk in wisdom, pray fervently, and serve without shame.
Please know I am praying for you all and hope you do experience the joy of
the Lord this day. May God bless you all richly as we build bridges and
build family together, for His glory.
